Internet LIVE STREAM for Tipton

HomeTown Television of Tipton has launced a new internet television station that simulcasts all the shows currently seen on Channel 19. Broadband internet users who do not have cable or who are outside of the Tipton area can now view all of HomeTown's shows. "Our new internet station is truly television on the internet", comments Jim McCoy, station General Manager. "Sports, city council meetings and all of our local interest content is now available to everyone without charge.". Visit www.hometowntipton.com to view the station. HomeTown Tipton is a separate program feed tailored for the citizens of Tipton County.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Ustream, our internet streaming service, has been down often today. We may have issues streaming this game. We are working to find another provider.

Coming to Channel 19

Along with our regular line up of programs will be coverage of the following events...

The Mid America Threshing Show,
One of the largest farm machine and antique farm equipment shows in the Mid-west. Featuing a working black smith shop, Large steam powered tractors, a mobile saw mill and many other rare and exciting pieces of farm equipment. Held at the Tipton County Fair Grounds.

The Techumsa Lodge Pow Wow
This is the largest Native American Pow Wow east of the Mississippi River. This very colorful and historic event is held every Labor Day Weekend at the Tipton County Fair Grounds, and features representatives of Native American Tribes form all over the United States. The event features many hand crafted items, authentic Native American Dances and Clothing.

The Tipton County Pork Festival
One of the largest and most popular festivals in the state of Indiana. This highly acclaimed food festival is held in downtown Tipton the week after Labor day every year. This years festival will be held Sept. 6,7, and 8. The festival features two parades, free music concerts, and much, much more.

The Military Veterans Reunion
This huge event is held at the Viet Nam Veterans Grounds in Howard County every year. This wonderful event features many veterans from all over the United States getting together to reunite with each other, share stories, food and many military related activities. This is a must see for any veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces.

The Atlanta Earth Festival
A huge arts and crafts festival held every year brings thousands to the tiny northern Hamilton County Town of Atlanta. The festival features hundreds of hand made crafts by artisits from all over the mid-west. There are also many entertainment events and food. This is a festival that is fun for the entire family.

Prom Telecast Schedule Set

HomeTown 19 has scheduled the 'Live' local prom shows. These events are always our BIGGEST televised events. We'll take thousands of live phone calls and give away $10,000 in prizes. This year we'll be televising from Faux Flowers, next door to channel 19 and 1 block south of Conner on 9th Street in Noblesville. SCHEDULE:

Improved LIVE VIDEO STREAM

We've improved our live stream of our station. You notice a little better video and much better audio. If you're having problems, let us know. Also, dial up users will probably not be able to view us as the bit rate is now about 70k. here's the link to watch

Summer Place in Sharpsville, Indiana

Summer Place is a recreation of one man's childhood in the back yard of his home in Tipton County Indiana. Periodically, he opens it to the public. HomeTown was lucky enough to get the chance to document this remarkable accomplishment.
